"It all started with my father. I would go to his cricket matches when I was young, but at the time I wanted to play soccer with my little brother. After a while I started to like cricket more and more and we began playing it more and more. It didn't take long before I started playing matches and noticed that I had talent. The passion came naturally.

My best memory so far is the European Cricket Network T10 tournament that we played at Sparta. I became a player of the tournament. It was a totally new format, a new experience. Coaches and teammates who know my game know how I play and that this is not my type of game at all. But I took it as a fun challenge and just wanted to enjoy it.

A few years earlier, I was discovered by The Flamingos during an U19 tournament. I then had a wonderful opportunity to go to South Africa with Tonny Staal. After that I also went on a Flamingo tour to England, such great experiences."
